We’re excited to bring you another edition of the Grand Strand Diamond Diaries! Today’s feature is a long time friend of our editor and we love the elegant vibe her wedding ring is sending us.
Name: Catherine Poston Rowell
Husband: Chad Rowell
Wife Occupation: Physician Assistant in Family Medicine
Husband Occupation: Firefighter-Paramedic
Wedding Date: October 26, 2013
Let’s Talk about this Gorgeous Ring: Chad insisted on picking out the ring on his own. He wanted it to be a surprise, but he did take me to the jewelry store to try rings on to get a feel for what I liked. I always pictured myself with an antique looking ring with lots of detail but when we went to try on rings nothing detailed seemed right. He suggested I try on something simple, so I tried on a plain band with a round solitaire and fell in love with it. It was classic and beautiful, exactly what I wanted but never realized it. He knew me better than I did, another confirmation that he was the one for me. One of the perks of picking a more simple engagement ring is you can match it with any type of wedding band. I chose a diamond band and hope to get another diamond band for our 5 year anniversary.
See a few more photos from their wedding day at Wildberry Farm below. FUN FACT: They were the first large scale wedding held at the venue!
What’s your favorite Date Night Activity? I love going out to dinner and a movie. He grew up in a small town without a movie theater so he didn’t love movies when we first started dating. He always says he’s seen more movies in the 4 years we’ve known each other than his life before we met.
Who cooks and who does the dishes? We take turns cooking and share the cleaning duties.
We’re so happy to share such a beautiful ring from and even cooler couple. If you or anyone you know would like to be our next Grand Strand Diamond Diaries post, please email our editor at Bree@grandstrandmag.com for more details. Sparkle on!
