Get ready for another sparkling diamond day! We’re excited to bring you another edition of the Grand Strand Diamond Diaries! Today’s feature is a beautiful couple that are long time locals of the area who had a gorgeous wedding at Sunnyside Plantation a few years ago.
Name: Whitney Crislip
Husband: Tyler Crislip
Wife Occupation: Non Profit Manager
Husband Occupation: Sales Rep for Sun Image Distribution
Wedding Date: December 13, 2014
Let’s Talk about this Gorgeous Ring: Tyler had my ring custom made, it was important to him that my ring was unique. He worked with Treasures Fine Jewelers to create the perfect ring for me.
How did Tyler propose? He told me we were going to take our dogs for a walk on the beach at the pointe in Murrells Inlet. We do this regularly so I didn’t think anything of it- so much so that I threw on work out clothes and a baseball hat. While we were down there we happened to see starfish washed up around the pointe. I was playing with one of the dogs, when he told me he had found another one and to come look at it. When I walked over there his phone was playing “All of Me” by John Legend (preface: this was his ring tone for me) he asked if I was calling him so I checked my phone and by the time I looked back up he was down on one knee proposing. Little did I know he had a photographer capturing this special moment for us. It was the most unsuspecting and perfect proposal because our dogs got to be apart of it. They even posed perfectly without being told for a few photos that we will cherish forever. (Patrick Donahue photo)
See a few more photos from their wedding day at Sunnyside below along with a few fun questions we asked Whitney and Tyler. We love the unique wine bottle labels made specially for them! All of the guests signed a bottle representing each year of marriage to come with friendly notes and advice for the happy couple.
What is one thing you can’t live without? My skinny vanilla latte in the morning… but seriously, my family and friends. They mean everything to me.
What is your favorite trait in your husband? And his favorite in you? His fun-loving personality, he is a constant reminder that life is too short to be anything but happy. When asked the same question, he says “my loving and caring personality.”
Describe a typical married date night: Our weekend date night is grabbing dinner at our favorite Sushi restaurant, but if you want to know what we do on a random night during the week, we will go to the gym and then grab a milkshake for dinner later because life is about balance, right?!
